Thank you for visiting my site. I have been doing scratchboard art since 2008. I usually do animal art, but on occasion like to push my boundries and try scenery or flowers as well. I have had successful showings at a number of art shows, and as a result have been commissioned to do pet and wildlife paintings.
What is Scratchboard Art?
Scratchboard is a board coated with a layer of white clay, then spray painted with black indian ink. To create the artwork, the artist scratches off the black ink, using various pressures for dark to light, to expose the white clay underneath. This can be left natural, or colored.
Upcoming Shows:
February 18th, 2012: Scratchboard Workshop with Hudson Artists.
March, 2012: Lobby Exhibit, Stephen Shaar Community Center, Hudson, Qc
April 27-29, 2012: Hudson Artists Spring Show, Stephen Shaar Community Center, Hudson, Qc
